Lady Blazers defeat Lyon is All-A showdown
Kate Cansler recorded a hat trick and led the way for the University Heights Academy Lady Blazers as they defeated Lyon County 7-1 on Tuesday.
Cansler led the way, followed by two goals from Grace Pape and a goal from both Piper Hancock and Emma Perry in the win. Cansler and Pape recorded two assists and Perry had another for UHA.
The Lady Blazers await either Mayfield or Murray in the All-A Regional final and will return to action at 5:30 p.m. on Monday against Ohio County.
Trigg falls to Caldwell
The Trigg County Lady Wildcats fell to Caldwell County 4-1 on Tuesday.
Trigg falls to 0-1 on the year and will host Crittenden County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Lady Rebels shutout Russellville
The Todd County Central Lady Rebels took care of business on Tuesday, defeating Russellville 4-0 on Tuesday.
Todd County will face Monroe County in the All-A Regional tournament on Saturday.
Trigg falls to Webster County
The Trigg County Wildcats couldn’t keep up with Webster County on Tuesday falling 5-1.
The Wildcats will return to action at 7 p.m. on Thursday when they travel to face Todd County Central.
Rebels fall to Russellville
Todd County tried to get back to .500 on Tuesday but failed, falling 3-1 to Russellville.
The Rebels now sit at 0-2 and will host Trigg County on Thursday.
HCA defeats South Haven in five sets
The Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors held off South Haven on Tuesday, winning 3-2.
HCA will return to action on Thursday against Oak Ridge at home.
Trigg swept by Calloway
The Trigg County Lady Wildcats fell in three sets on Tuesday to Calloway County.
The Lady Wildcats will return to action at 7 p.m. on Monday against Crittenden County.
Todd sweeps Russellville
The Todd County Central Lady Rebels won in straight sets on Tuesday against Russellville.
Todd County sits at 1-0 on the year and will host Hopkins County Central on Monday.
Hopkinsville, UHA compete in Russellville
The Hopkinsville and University Heights Academy golf teams took to the course on Tuesday.
The Tigers shot a 160 as a team, with James Folz, Evan Pyle and Will Binkley all three carding a 38, tying for third on the day.
UHA shot a 144 with three golfers, but Jiles Wyatt finished first on the day with a 36. Conlee Lindsey was the lone girl from either team taking the course, she shot a 42.
Both UHA and Hopkinsville will be back on the course Thursday at Western Hill GC in Hopkinsville.
